CHOEWZ allows users to contribute different kinds of content including reviews, photos, videos, direct messages and more. We have put together these general guidelines. Please also read the guidelines for specific types of content that you might contribute to the site.
Positive language and imagery are acceptable, however there's no need for threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, and other displays of bigotry.
Conflicts of interest
Your contributions should be unbiased and objective. For example, you should not write reviews of your own business or employer, your friends’ or relatives’ business, your peers or competitors in your industry, or businesses in your networking group. Business owners should not ask customers to write reviews.
Please make sure your contributions are relevant and appropriate to the forum. For example, reviews are not the place for rants about a business's employment practices, political ideologies, extraordinary circumstances, or other matters that do not address the core of the consumer experience.
Do not publicize other people’s private information. Please do not post close-up photos or videos of other patrons without their permission and please do not post other people’s full names unless you are referring to service providers who are commonly identified by or commonly share their own full names.
Do not use content from other sites or users. Be creative and write your own reviews and take your own photos and videos. Thank you.
Beyond simply asking for a refund to remedy a bad experience, you should not remove or post your review as a way to extract payment from a business regardless of whether you have been a customer.
The best reviews are passionate and personal. They offer a rich narrative, a wealth of detail, and a helpful tip or two for other consumers. Here are some additional thoughts for conscientious reviewers.
We want to hear about your first-hand consumer experience, not what you heard from your friend or relative. Try to tell your own story without resorting to broad generalizations and any type of allegations.
Make sure your review is factually correct. Feel free to air your opinions, but do not exaggerate or misrepresent your experience. We do not take sides when it comes to factual disputes so we expect you to stand behind your review.
Review updates should reflect a new experience or interaction with the business. Do not tell the same story you have already told. If you would like to add new insight to an old experience, just edit your review instead of creating a new update.
Business Owner Guidelines
All businesses on CHOEWZ are allowed to upload their own Content. As such, these guidelines are important for your content to meet the recommended standards and quality to be approved by CHOEWZ.
Experience of Entrepreneur
You can use the (Experience of entrepreneur) in your business profile to tell people a little about your background, but keep it to the point. For example, where you worked in the past few years, the passion you always had for your skill, what career you previously worked in. Please keep it relevant. Do not use this avenue to attack your competitors, reviewers, or CHOEWZ, and do not use it to display keywords or post special offers or promotions — we will remove them if we see them.
Photo and Video Quality
All photos and videos uploaded by businesses must be at least 1920*1080p resolution (FULL HD). Any resolution below this benchmark will not meet the recommended standards and therefore will not be posted on the site by CHOEWZ.
Quality of Content
There must be photos of:
c.Employees preparing the items/products and/or Entrepreneurs in action
d.The physical business (if any), showcasing the business Name and Logo.
e.Entrepreneur/Employees presenting the final product/menu item.
a.a.Videos are to be in landscape layout
b.Entrepreneur introducing themselves to the public and informing the public of what they do and what the business is about.
c.Items being prepared.
This is where the business will describe their products, main ingredients, flavour profile, quantity of ingredients. Here the business can even include the full recipe if they choose too. Note: Video content from businesses is not mandatory however it makes the user experience more immersive and interactive and it also provides a form of personal experience to the public. Also, videos must be edited by businesses before they are uploaded to the Site.
Dont ask for reviews and dont offer to pay for them either
Please dont ask your customers to review your business on CHOEWZ. Over time, solicited reviews create bias on your business page. You should also never offer compensation (discounts and freebies) in exchange for reviews.
User Profile Guidelines
Do not be shy — use your account profile to let people know who you are and what makes you tick. Users want to read reviews from people they know and trust (not those with profiles that are empty or laced with inappropriate content).
